老奶奶在做姜饼男孩。姜饼男孩站在老奶奶前面,面对观众。

Grandma:IwanttomakeaGingerboy.
(老奶奶用双手捏姜饼男孩。姜饼男孩呈“大”字形保持动作原地不动。)
Grandma:Oh,Iamhungry.Iwanttoeat.
(老奶奶摸着自己的肚皮。)
姜饼男孩“活”了,开始在原地跑步。
Gingerboy:No.Don’teatme!Don’teatme!
姜饼男孩开始在舞台上绕圈以夸张的慢动作跑在老奶奶的前面。
Grandma:Stop!Stop,Gingerboy!(老奶奶追在姜饼男孩后面跑,并试图伸着手臂去抓姜饼男孩。)
放儿歌第一段伴奏,姜饼男孩和老奶奶齐唱。

姜饼男孩在前面,依次跟着老奶奶、驴、花奶牛从舞台的另一端跑上场。

放儿歌第二段伴奏,所有人齐唱。

放流水声,姜饼男孩一个人跑上台。

狐狸从另一端上场。站在离姜饼男孩远一点的地方自言自语。
Fox:Iamhungry!IwanttoeattheGingerboy.
狐狸走到姜饼男孩的身边。
Fox:Icanhelpyoutocrosstheriver.Comeon!
Gingerboy:Really?Thankyouverymuch!
姜饼男孩跳到狐狸的背上,狐狸背着姜饼男孩。放儿歌第三段伴奏,狐狸唱。两人在舞台上绕圈游泳。
Fox:(Sing)IcanranliketheGingerboy,
TheGingerboy,theGingerboy.
IcanranliketheGingerboy,
(Gingerboy:)揘ow,catchmeifyoucan!?
Gingerboy:Noonecancatchme!IamtheGingerboy!(洋洋得意地大笑)
音乐停。狐狸放下姜饼男孩,并转身吓唬姜饼男孩。
Fox:Ha-ha!Iwilleatyou,Gingerboy!
Gingerboy:Oh,no!Don’teatme!Don’teatme!Ah?
狐狸背向观众把姜饼男孩吃掉。姜饼男孩悄悄退场。狐狸转身面对观众。
Fox:Yummy!Yummy!Ilikeit!(Sing)IcanrunliketheGingerboy?
狐狸舔着嘴唇,摸着自己的肚子大摇大摆地慢慢退场。
Narrator:AndnobodyeversawGingerboyagain...

注:此剧本在原著的基础上进行了适当的改编,更适合我们的幼儿进行表演。教师们在排练过程中可就各班情况再进行适当改动。旁白起着承上启下的作用,而且台词略为复杂,建议由教师承担。本剧本中大部分情节需要演员在台上跑动,为保持幼儿的体力和保证视觉效果,请教师引导幼儿以夸张的慢动作在台上绕圈跑动,切勿在舞台上进行剧烈运动。为了保证让更多的幼儿上场表演,教师可以让其他幼儿在舞台上表演树、石头、山、等作为背景,同时在适当的时候帮台上的演员唱儿歌。
