65yearsago,JameslivedinQingdao.Thenhewasonly5yearsold.HeoftenvisitedtheAquariumandwasfascinatedbyacreatureondisplaythere,whichhethoughtwasadragon.Hewasafraidofitssharpteethandwantedonetokeepasatreasure.
Inthelate1930s,whentheJapaneseoccupiedQingdao,hisfamilyhadtoleave.OnhislastdayinQingdao,herantotheAquariumandpulledoutoneoftheteethfromthedragon’smouth.
Hekeptthetoothforthenext65years,butthefeelingofguiltathavingstolenitwasthereinthebackgroundallthroughhislife.Itwasalwaysonhisconscience,andthefeelingintensifiedashebecameolder.Finallyhedecidedtoputrighthischildisherror.Inxxxx,hevisitedQingdaoandreturnedittotheAquariumwithhissincereapologies.Hereceivedawarmwelcome.
WhenJamesvisitedQingdao,Iaccompaniedhimallthetimeandreportedonhisvisit.Iwasdeeplytouchedbyhishonesty.Ithastaughtmealot.Ithinktoerrishuman.Theimportantthingistohavethecouragetoadmitandcorrectone’serror.
